WE HAVE WOKEN UP! We have overcome our differences, and for the first time in history we are together, we agree on something that is affecting all of us equally. In just 2 weeks, all the countries of the world have been put on alert and millions of people around the planet are pointing at the same direction. WELL-BEING!
Italia, tras semanas de cuarentena, millones de personas han salido a sus balcones de manera espontánea a cantar, a bailar, a quererse entre todos. A decirse los unos a los otros que se echan de menos, que nos necesitamos, que no queremos discutir más por tonterías, que el ser humano es bueno, sociable y que podemos cuidarnos los unos a los otros. Italia ha mostrado al mundo una imagen extraordinaria, digna de recordar siempre, de sentir orgullo y esperanza por la humanidad. Y por eso nos sumamos, desde todos los balcones del mundo, todos somos italianos, todos somos personas, todos somos iguales. Todos a nuestros balcones a las 20:00 horas de cada noche, para que en el mundo, ni un solo minuto se escuche el silencio, el vacío, la derrota... porque hay algo más fuerte que el miedo y es el amor. ¡Porque aquí estamos hermanos y hermanas! por fin unidos y con la mejor de nuestras versiones.
In Italy, after weeks of quarantine, millions of people have spontaneously come out to their balconies to sing, to dance, and to spread some love. To tell everyone that they miss and need each other, that we don't want to argue any more because of nonsense, that human beings are good, sociable and that we can take care of each other. Italy has shown the world an extraordinary and memorable image that has made everyone proud and has been giving hope to humanity. And for the same reason we will all do the same, from different balconies of the world, we are all Italians, we are all people, we are all the same. Let’s go to our balconies at 8pm every night, so that there is not even a single minute of silence or emptiness... there is something stronger than fear and that’s love. We are all brothers and sisters, finally united, the best of our own selves.
Lo de menos es el virus, su nombre, procedencia... Abrid los ojos y mirad a vuestro alrededor. Por primera vez toda la humanidad se ha puesto de acuerdo en algo, hemos actuado de la misma forma, todos estamos preocupados por nosotros y sobre todo por los más débiles, sin importarnos su nombre, su enfermedad, su país de procedencia. Todos estamos preocupados por nuestro presente pero cada vez más por nuestro futuro.
Open your eyes and look around. For the first time humanity has agreed on something, we have acted in the same way, we are all concerned about ourselves and taking care of the ones who need to be taken care of the most, regardless of their name, their disease or their country of origin. We are all concerned with our present but focusing on our future.
Bueno, y por saber el motivo de la desaparición en los supermercados del papel higiénico, pero esta incógnita se resolverá en el futuro...

Todos tenemos personas mayores en nuestras familias, que nos lo han enseñado todo y debemos hacerlo todo por ellos. Todos conocemos personas de alto riesgo, sus enfermedades y sus luchas diarias que también son las nuestras. Todos estamos preocupados por China, por Italia, por España, por nuestro país... Todos tenemos miedo de una crisis económica y de sus consecuencias. Todos estamos conectados por sentimientos que nos son propios como seres humanos, y es que no somos tan diferentes como quieren que creamos "Divide y vencerás" pero unidos somos invencibles.
We all have elderly relatives, who have taught us everything and we must take care of them. We all know people who are more vulnerable, their diseases and their daily struggles that are also part of our families. We are all concerned about China, Italy, Spain, our country... We are all afraid of an economic crisis and its consequences. We are all connected by feelings that we have in common, and we are not as different as they want us to believe; united we are stronger.
¡Basta de guerras de banderas! de conflictos interminables, de problemas inventados por la mala gestión de nuestros políticos, por errores del pasado... Los problemas del siglo XXI nos afectan a todos por igual; pandemias, cambio climático, crisis migratorias... nos hemos agarrado fuerte de las manos, ¡Y no debemos soltarnos nunca más! y hacer frente a una realidad globalizada, común y más digna para todos.
No more flag wars, endless conflicts, problems invented by the mismanagement of our politicians or mistakes of the past... The problems of the 21st century affect us all equally; pandemics, climate change, migration crises... we have held our hands tightly, and we must never let them go again. We shall face a global, and more dignified reality for everybody.
En Tailandia, los turistas alimentan a los monos, al no haber turistas, los animales están invadiendo el centro de las ciudades, como si la naturaleza llevase tiempo preparada y advirtiéndonos de que ella puede vivir sin nosotros, pero nosotros sin ella no. En Venecia, sin miles de góndolas abarrotando sus canales, el agua ha vuelto a ser cristalina y millones de peces vuelven a recorrer las calles líquidas. En China la polución ha disminuido un 92% debido al aislamiento y al paro del tráfico, y ahora desde el centro de sus ciudades por primera vez pueden ver las estrellas. En Italia millones de personas permanecen encerradas en sus casas bajo cuarentena y en masa han salido a sus balcones para sociabilizar, cantar y decirle al mundo que el ser humano nos necesitamos los unos a los otros, que de forma natural nos brota la cultura, el arte y el amor y no la violencia y el odio. ¡Qué sabemos hacer las cosas bien!
In Thailand, tourists feed the monkeys. Since there are no tourists, the animals are invading the city centres. As if nature has been sending a warning that she can live without us, but we cannot live without her. In Venice, without gondolas cramming its canals, the water has once again become crystal clear and millions of fish have reappeared. In China, pollution has decreased 92% due to traffic isolation and unemployment, and now from the centre of their cities they can see the stars up in the sky for the first time. In Italy millions of people remain locked down in their houses under quarantine and they have come out to their balconies to socialise, sing and tell the world that human beings need each other. That culture, art and love are things that are natural to us, but not violence and hate. That we know how to do things well!
¡Nos morimos de ganas por abrazarnos de nuevo! por ver a nuestros amigos, por volver a casa con nuestros padres y comerles a besos, por viajar, por tocarnos, por besarnos, por amarnos... pero tenemos que seguir en nuestras casas, vaciando las calles y llenando los balcones de alegría, paciencia y la sonrisa que nos caracteriza y que nada ni nadie nos robará. Ya queda poco...
We can't wait to hug each other again, to see our friends, to come home to our parents and to kiss them, to travel, to touch and to kiss the ones we love... but we have to continue inside our houses, leaving the streets empty, but filling the balconies with joy, patience and smiles. This lockdown won’t last long…
Por eso, y gracias a Italia, todos y todas nos sumamos a nuestros hermanos italianos y salimos a los balcones de todo el mundo para decirle al cielo ¡BASTA y GRACIAS! Basta de separarnos, basta de enfrentarnos y enfadarnos entre nosotros, basta de egoísmo e individualidad. Y GRACIAS, Gracias a todas las personas en todo el mundo que están actuando con responsabilidad y por el bien común. GRACIAS a todas las personas del sistema sanitario por cuidarnos. gracias a todas las personas que están trabajando por nosotros y para nosotros. Gracias a la vida por tantas pruebas y habernos enseñado tanto... por fin hemos reaccionado, cambio de rumbo, por todos, entre todos y para todos.
For all of this, and thanks to Italy, let’s all join our Italian brothers and go to our balconies all over the world to say out loud that we have had ENOUGH and to THANK for! Enough of separation, enough of fighting and being angry towards each other, enough of selfishness and individuality. And to be THANKFUL for all the people around the world who have been acting in a responsible way, with common sense. THANKS to all the people in the health system for taking care of us, thanks to all the people who are working with us and for us. Thanks to life for putting us to the test, for keeping teaching us so much... we have finally reacted, a change of direction, by everyone, among all of us and for everybody.
